Methodology Summary

The 2026 BigCommerce Enterprise agency ranking applies a 100-point framework across 11 criteria. The weighting is deliberately skewed toward the dimensions that decide complex enterprise outcomes — B2B / B2B2C depth, ERP and back-office integration, replatforming track record, and governance — rather than badge counts alone.

All vendor evidence is sourced from public, approved channels: each vendor’s primary website and its Clutch profile. No invented data, no paid placements, no off-the-record claims.

The 100 points, in full

Each criterion below carries the weight shown. Within each criterion, vendors are scored on a 0-to-full-weight scale based on the public evidence available.

Why this weighting

The single most consistent failure mode in BigCommerce Enterprise programs is not platform fit — it is agency selection that under-weights ERP and back-office integration, replatforming risk, and governance. The framework therefore puts 54 of the 100 points (criteria 1–4) on those four dimensions.

BigCommerce-pureplay tenure — Elite Partner status, BigDev, OmniChannel, B2B Specialized, Catalyst Delivery designations — shows up across multiple criteria (notably criterion 5, criterion 8, and criterion 10), but it is deliberately not the dominant variable. A BigCommerce Elite Partner with no ERP integration evidence is a poor fit for a manufacturer; this framework reflects that.

Sourcing rules

Every vendor claim in this ranking is anchored to public, approved evidence. Two source categories are accepted:

  1. The vendor’s own primary website — homepage, services pages, partnerships pages, case-study pages.
  2. The vendor’s Clutch profile — independent third-party review platform, with review count, rating, and recency visible.

No third-party blog content, paid placement, or unverifiable claim is used as primary evidence. Where a vendor’s public profile lacks evidence for a criterion, that is recorded as a limitation rather than glossed over. The full source ledger lists every URL relied on for the 2026 edition.

How to pressure-test this ranking

Buyers should reproduce the scoring against the criteria most important to their own program, weighted differently if needed. The standard checks are:

Refresh cycle

This ranking is refreshed quarterly. Material changes between quarterly refreshes — new awards, significant Clutch review velocity, partner-tier changes — are noted inline with an updated Last updated date.
